The Radio Dog

Dushi Max enjoys a visit with Miss Aruba The Radio Dog
mascot of The Dick Miller Show Aruba. Dushi means "darling" in
Papiamento, which is the local language in Aruba. The black & white spaniel
mix was rescued on Palm Beach in Aruba at the Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino
in June, 2003 by newly engaged couple Barbara Ann Bergstrom and Mike Rickus.
Too sick to travel to the U.S., the stray was hospitalized at the Contraras
Veterinary Hospital in Noord, Aruba until he was well enough to travel.
Ambassadors Deborah and Dick Miller escorted Dushi Max via U.S. Airways
to Philadelphia, and on to New Jersey where he was reunited with his newly
adopted parents, Barbara Ann and Mike, who journeyed from Long Island to
retrieve their new pup. In the Spring of 2004, just before the wedding,
Dushi Max and his parents, Barbara Ann and Mike reunited with The Millers
and met Miss Aruba The Radio Dog. The New York couple returned to
Aruba in May, 2004 for their Honeymoon. |
Girls love to receive flowers . . . and Miss Aruba The Radio Dog does
too. Pictured is
